Architect · Author · Educator · Speaker
Chad D. Reineke is an architect, author, educator, and industry leader whose work examines how architects sustain judgment, meaning, and professional responsibility in a rapidly changing profession.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience spanning architectural practice, construction, higher education, mentorship, and professional leadership, Reineke speaks about the forces reshaping architecture—from artificial intelligence and automation to ethics, education, mentorship, and the changing structure of practice.
He is the author of The Reflective Architect: Practice and Presence in a Changing Profession and Rules of Practice: The Ethics of Making Architecture. His writing has also appeared in Common Edge, where he explores architectural practice, professional development, artificial intelligence, and the transfer of knowledge between generations.
A former architecture professor and practicing senior architect, Reineke brings together the perspectives of practitioner, educator, builder, and mentor. His talks are grounded in the realities of practice while asking larger questions about what architects value, how expertise develops, and what the profession must preserve as technology changes the way architectural work is produced.
